Civilization - The March/Road to Annihilation - 3

Trees, are one of the few species of life on land that has a longer lifespan than man. They are not sentient, stationary, and the only movement they have is to grow upward. [Vines excepted]. The mention of this serves a twofold purpose. One is to show the importance of trees to our existence and secondly, to highlight the intelligences at work in this volume.
The average lifespan of man is, give or take 70 years. There are of course the occasional  aberration of people exceeding this number. there are a few known cases of people exceeding 100. Psalms 90 vs 10 says this."The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labor and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away". Note that a score is twenty. Just what does that have to do with trees?
Some trees live for up to 400 years in some parts of the wilderness and forests, and that number dwarfs just how long an individual life span of man is.  In Genesis, before the flood the oldest man known was Me-thu'selah who lived to be 969 years old. Incredible? Lets look at what took place after the flood.
Shortly before the flood,GOD had said, in Genesis chap 6 vs 3,"And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years".   The deluge that covered the earth and killed all land moving creatures with the exception of trees was caused by 'the sons of God' who came and took wives of all the beautiful women that they chose. Who were these 'sons of God'? Were they the children of Adam? Or were they beings from the other planets as we so ardently speculated in the series on the imagination?
Also in chapter 6 of Genesis, we are told that there were giants in those days, and in ancient lore they were called the 'Annakim'. So if what we were imagining was true, then it stands to reason that these 'sons of God' had to come from other planets to cohabit with our women. God shortened our lifespan because we were 'flesh' not made to travel between the planets or stars.

Man as the dominant force on this planet, outlives most species, and as such we tend to think of ourselves as having higher intelligence, than say a {for example} talking parrot, or any of the animal life found in the local zoo. With our limited lifespan, just how would we be viewed by beings from other worlds endued with an infinitely greater lifespan than ours? They most certainly would view us the same way we view the animals in the zoo, as animals with limited intelligence.
In the book of Jo'b, we are told in chapter 2 vs 1,"Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the Lord". The implication here is that 'Satan' is one of the 'sons of God', it was he and the others that he influenced to breakaway from God that were taking our women and having these offspring which in turn caused God to destroy their offspring to return this earth to man.
Let us keep in mind that in Revelation 12 vs 12 we were given this warning. "Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time".  Imagine that for a being that has been living for an indefinite amount of time to be overthrown from the domain he was once given, and being told that his eternal lifespan was being revoked sometime in the near future, that creature had to have been upset.
That said, he engineered the cause of the flood. That failed because God had Noah and his three sons, along with the animals of God's choosing, to repopulate the earth. Next up came the failed attempt to build the spaceport of great Babylon.  The city and tower was to be a landing zone for Lucifer and his fellow conspirators, but, God came down and created the language divide. This created confusion and thus the name Babel[confusion of tongues], which sounded like babbling.
Woe, in the book, also means destruction in particular cases. the First worlds war among the industrialized nations was his second attempt to cause the destruction of the planet, as was world war two. Having failed in his/their previous attempts to get rid of mankind and destroy the planet in one fell swoop, Lucifer and his cronies decided to try a different approach.  Knowing that the lifespan of man was limited compared to theirs, they decided to come up with a different approach.
Why not give man the knowledge to create devices that can lead to his own destruction? The deception of Eve had already worked partially by bringing the sentence of death to mankind. Lucifer and his pals launched an all out attack against man in a myriad of ways. As per his threat to turn man away from God,  they started the first known enclave of homosexuality known as the five cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, as you know the first tenet of sex was to reproduce, a fact that two members of the same species cannot do. Despite the burning of those cities Lucifer continued to push that perversion upon man until it's worldwide prevalence today.
Another one of their ploys was the introduction of technology, along with entertainment. Lucifer began to put into the minds of some that [a] there was no such thing as a Supreme Deity, and [b] he{Lucifer} should be worshipped. Those who fall to his philosophy are called agnostics or atheist. Then there are those who worship him openly. Those that do so however, while doing it in public, make secretive hand signals to their fellow cohorts, while pretending to the public that they are God fearing individuals while the truth is the exact opposite.
For the many that are involved in the leadership of commerce and it's inventions, and those who control the entertainment industries, when gathered together at their private meetings and assemblies, they then openly worship Lucifer as the god Baphomet. Romans Chapter 1 vs 25, " Who changed the truth of God into a lie," [Lucifer and friends with  the big bang theory among a list of other things including Santa clause],"and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen". All of that led to the following:
Political intrigue, Business spying by various companies trying to keep ahead of the competition, distrust and a gradual decaying of morality and decency. In the 30th vs of the same chapter we read, "Backbiters, [I'm quite sure you know a few, those who speak well to your face and the minuite your back is turned say the most awful things about you], haters of God, [Avowed atheists and agnostics], despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents".
Note that many of today's gadgets and inventions come to us under the guise of saving time in whatever the endeavor one used to do minus that device. Just what and how will you save time? Where will you put that time saved? In a bank? God Himself made time to be a boundary for man along with day and night and the four seasons. Secondly most of these inventions usually end up doing great harm to our environment, such as plastics, and automobile emissions.
Most modern medicines today, have an incredibly high incidence of a litany of side effects. Have you ever asked yourself why the commercials for almost all the medicines advertised contain warnings? From risking high blood pressure to asthma attacks, with warnings not to take with other type medicines, just how much trust can you put into these modern marvels?

Along with the loss of purity of the planets oceans,we also have to face the fact, that sadly, we have lost the vast majority of the earths wooded areas which contributed to our having a plentiful supply of breathable air, That combined with the constant use of the fossil fueled automobile with it's harmful emissions, the so called greenhouse effect has taken place. Global warming has become a household term.
What many do not realize, is among the evil inventions, [apart from nuclear devices and other weapons of mass destruction including viral {viruses} warfare], machines have been set up in strategic places of the globe whose use has been instrumental in affecting the weather patterns everywhere. They have been in use to induce earthquakes, Tsunamis, tornadoes and inclement weather in different parts of the globe. The recent snowfall in Egypt was no coincidence.
Just how many of us realize that the vast areas of the desserts were once inhabited? It has been noted that in some, rainfall comes once a year, and some of the most exquisite plants come alive if only for a brief span of time, along with creatures that are not seen like the plants they disappear with.
If not for the promise of God to come to our rescue, the annihilation of man seems certain at the current rate of speed we are travelling. The extremely wealthy would like to leave the planet and embark on life anew in the stars, but alas they are but flesh and so their survival is not guaranteed.  Like the proverbial frog in water under a low fire, the water has now come to extreme heat and our 'goose' [for want of a better word] is being cooked. Mankind has been hoodwinked by Lucifer and all that some of us can do is pray and wait for, deliverance from on high.  Are we all doomed? Time will tell, and so until the next time, live well, be happy, make love, we bid you Peace.

Civilization-Road To Annihilation PT 2

Continuing the saga of mans path to self destruction, we had left off at the start of the new age in automobiles and the loss of marine life due to oil spills. This in turn  has led to major pollution of the planets entire water supply.
In the early 50's the loss of an occasional oil tanker, [as those ships were called back then], were downplayed to the public and seemed almost trivial to the seemingly unlimited supply of oceanic waters. Sad to say but, like the old proverbial saying 'a journey of a thousand miles begins with one step' so too was the beginning of our destruction of the planet's oceans via oil spills, and other toxic dumping in the seas.
During the the early days of the development of the automobile, a far worse invention was about to become unleashed upon the face of the globe.
It's name was Plastic. First introduced by an inventor named Alexander Parkes in 1862, his material then was called Parkesine, an organic material derived from cellulose. It was a process first used to coat billiard balls. John Wesley Hyatt improved upon it with a derivative called celluloid and the use of it spread to the making of film  for the movie industry. By the time the 50's had arrived, the use of this substance was beginning to seep into our everyday lives in a most innocuous manner.
Plastic bags were first introduced on a large scale manner, with the story that it would help save the trees and reduce the use of paper by reducing the need for paper bags. Back then too, when you went food shopping at the supermarket or the neighborhood grocery you would get your goods in brown shopping bags.
Now in the dawn of the 21st century, plastic has been ingrained into every facet of our lives, and while it has been promoted as something for the benefit of mankind, the flip side of this is that it is something that can lead to the planet's demise. here are a few interesting things to know about this 'indispensable, can't live without material'. From the original three compounds of material used, it is now a combo of many.
Now made from polymers, plastics is now used in the manufacturing of more products, and in use in more industries than wood. The main ingredient of today's plastics is crude oil. Yes crude oil happens to be the main ingredient combined with a slew of other chemicals and compounds, whose negative effects are mind boggling to say the least.  Apart from crude oil here are a few of the other main ingredients that comprise today's modern plastic/s. Vinyl Chloride, Terephthalic Acid, Propylene, Ethylene, Butadiene 1.3, among many others that are used to either harden or soften the plastic. Allegedly photo-synthetic [ the ability to decompose by sunlight] it has yet to be seen doing so.
Non biodegradable, this substance is now found floating over a goodly size of the earths oceans, and on land takes an extremely long time to disintegrate, all of which is leading to an accumulation of garbage that civilized man is finding harder and harder to dispose of safely. This in turn means we may or may not have a world left to turn over to little Johnny or his sister Sarah. Doesn't look like a bright future does it?
Vinyl Chloride,- used in the making of poly vinyl chloride [PVC] plastic and other vinyl products. Studies have shown that [acute] short term exposure [to concentrated amounts],in the air, has affected the central nervous system of humans, causing dizziness, drowsiness and headaches. Chronic [long term] exposure to vinyl chloride, again in the air, has resulted in liver damage to humans.  Cancer has also become a concern as a rare form of liver cancer in humans has been tied to the prolonged breathing and oral intake of vinyl chloride. The E.P.A. has classified vinyl chloride as a group A human carcinogen.
Ethylene- a small hydro carbon gas that is most often bonded with polypropylene to create Methyl - ethylene and can be soluble in water.Hmm, beginning to see the picture yet?.  Still unclear? Lets go further.
Propylene,- exposure to high amounts of this gas can or may cause damage to the following organs, the Lungs and the upper respiratory tract. While we are told that these things can only harm us in concentrated amounts, what about the long term effects of being exposed to them for extremely long periods of time?  Would you nibble a half of a pellet of rat poison daily thinking that it can only harm you if you take it in mass quantities? Or for that matter Arsenic, a carcinogen and deadly poison that is being introduced to many municipal water supplies and certain brands of apple juice, do you think that because you didn't die from it in the first two weeks that it is any less harmful?
Enter Butadiene,- an industrial chemical used in the production of synthetic rubber, now being used in the production of plastic. Butadiene can also be found coming from... the exhaust of automobiles. The NIOSH has considered butadiene 1.3 to be an occupational carcinogen as defined by the OSHA.  As with propylene, butadiene is also highly soluble in both water and alcohol.  Epidemiological studies have shown that workers exposed to 1.3 butadiene, i.e. [rubber factory workers], show an increase in the incidence of leukemia, and the EPA has classified it as a carcinogen to humans.
Last but not least is the use of terephthalic acid. while not much elaboration can be done because of the scientific jargon, it's importance here comes from it being not as soluble as butadiene or propylene, and it is used mostly in the production of plastic bottles and clothing. It has been touted as the greatest thing since sliced bread by the very people who brought us the Gulf of Mexico fiasco.
The fact that these people are bragging of it's benefits to our every day way of life should set alarm bells ringing. This has been a company that has been known to flagrantly disregard safety in all it's procedures to minimize expenditures.
Lets see how much this scourge to the earth has been interjected into our daily lives. If you smoke, it is wrapped around every pack of cigarettes. The majority of cooking oils are presented to us in plastic bottles, as are sodas, and juices. Of course buying soda or juice from the can or carton you have to face the fact that the interior of them is coated with Teflon which contributes to another form of chemicalized poisoning. Damned if you do, and damned if you don't, the enemy of man has this destruction of man on lock down.
Tupperware, a female favorite is made from plastic, dishware cups,  all manner of utensils used in the kitchen are not only made from this substance, but when purchased they also come wrapped up in plastic- talk about overkill. Buying bread, cakes and snacks at the supermarket? the bread in all likelihood is wrapped in plastic. Cakes in a box? Chances are that to see the product you can view it through a plastic partition in the box.  Anything and everything that we purchase for either necessity or pleasure comes encased in plastic.the disposal of trying to dispose of all this plastic dwarfs the imagination.
Those avid weekend fishermen who sail off in chartered boats out to the deep blue to enjoy an early morning to evening day of fishing usually have one or two six packs of beer along for the trip. Here's the bad side. That plastic that usually holds the six pack together is usually tossed overboard when the last can of beer is about to be consumed. it doesn't sink. It does not melt from the rays of the sun, and because of it's density it does not dissolve in the briny ocean. Aquatic life that have the unfortunate mishap to swim into the snares of these plastic anomalies, usually end up being asphyxiated. Clear plastic has been the main culprit for the demise of many a marine life, and birds that live on land but feed off the seas. As these goes so do man.
If the insertion and proliferation of plastic continues unchecked this planet may very well become encased in a prism or prison of our own making which would limit water and sunshine, indeed the future with this looks grim indeed. As you make your way home or to work keep in mind that vital parts of the car you drive, the bus you take, or the train you sit on all have plastic parts in the interior and engines. With this much dependence upon plastic who knows what will become us. Until next time, live well, be happy, make love, we bid you Peace.

Civilization, The March Toward Annhilation

At some time in your life you must have heard the saying, 'The more things change, the more they stay the same'. As a product of the 20th century, born to the use of electricity, but also knowing about lamp lights, the former gets preference. The use of electrical gadgets and modern comforts has certainly made the old ways of living seem not only trite but also passe. We certainly do not wish to return to the use of tree leaves and the outhouse. Horse drawn carriages and stagecoaches? No thanks.
Grateful are we also for the eradication of the bubonic plague, the decrease in polio, malaria, cholera and many other life threatening diseases. The modern train has certainly done wonders replacing the ancient caravans. Send messages by carrier pigeons? The new Internet can have New York to Mumbai in communication with each other in minutes. Ye olde transistor radio's, replaced by Blackberry's, I-Pads and Kindles.
Funny thing though, insignificant as radio may seem to some, it is still the basis of the telephone and Television and wireless internet communication. Once Radio got accepted and established, the prince of the air, the 'enemy of man, knew he had the seeds to plant the gradual training and programming of man. Telegraphs as in the early days of the stagecoach all depended upon wires. Not so with Radio.
In ancient times, reading and writing were reserved for the privileged of their respective societies, i.e. Priests and the Kings court or ruling class, however you'd prefer to refer to them. Today illiteracy is frowned upon and every member of society, has been required to know the basics. How much further one would like to enlarge their learning is up to the individual. Is not all this great technological improvement for the betterment of mankind? We have the latest in radar  and satellite technology to predict the weather anywhere, but, it still cannot stop the tornadoes or tsunamis', blizzards or hurricanes.
Ancient writing was done on scrolls or on papyrus, and as such made the availability of knowledge to the underclass undesirable, not economically feasible so to speak, until the discovery of how to make paper and produce the printed word. Enter the beginning of mercury being introduced into the lives of man, as it was now a necessary ingredient in the production of ink. As wood was the primary ingredient in the manufacture of paper, Trees, which served as a valued source of giving us pure oxygen in our air supply, began to be decimated from the face of many a mountain and Forrest.
The other negative side effect was that in producing paper from wood, the paper mills, usually set up by or close to rivers or streams, produced runoff into those waters which, naturally had the chemical residues of what they used in the manufacturing processes, which in turn began the cycle of pollution on our once pristine planet. To the common man not living in the immediate vicinity, or affected by such, the loss of a stream or two, or a couple of rivers was a trade off for progress. Back then the supplies of trees and water seemed an almost inexhaustible supply. Who knew it would become finite?
Apart from being a source supply of paper, trees were , and is still used as lumber for building homes, in the construction industry for the building of skyscrapers, shipping docks, roads, and furniture. Almost two hundred years later we are bemoaning the loss of trees, and realizing the value they have in our ecosystem. Birds, Squirrels and various other creatures and insects also use trees as a home, and , as man became more and more industrially advanced , so too did more and more species of life become extinct.
While the number of species of life on land began to decimate, it is unclear, or rather, no one knows just how much aquatic species have disappeared under the onslaught of civilization, which brings us back to what has now become a finite commodity, water. Mankind in the use of water in our cities, has contributed to so much waste and pollution of this life supporting substance that it boggles the mind.
For those who can afford it, a water purifying system for the home is a mandatory piece of equipment. Such a luxurious machine was not in use during the time of the black plague, however man has bounced back from the scourges of leprosy and other ancient illnesses with remarkable powers of recovery. Perhaps these were not fast enough to destroy mankind and so the 'enemy' stirred up the first world's war among the industrialized powers, for as man came up with new inventions to make life seem easier, he also came up with newer and more deadly weapons of warfare, making killing on a larger scale than ancient times more possible. Guns and bullets replaced bows and arrows.
Today's modern arsenal of nuclear bombs make the grenade, TNT and nitroglycerin relics of the past along with slingshots, spears and stone tomahawks. Man now has at his fingertips the means to wipe out every living thing on the earth and in the oceans. Scary but true we are living in the shadow of death. With the production of the printing press, man began to build more and more factories, including automobile plants.
This proliferation only led to more pollutants in our air and water. the automobile had to run with petrol, which was refined from crude oil upon the discovery of it. This petrol was now called gasoline and while we were happy to have this newfound power of transporting ourselves, no one gave a thought to what was coming out of the tailpipes of the automobile.  At the start of the 18th century cars and the technology to create them began to become more and more prevalent. As with anything new, this fairly new contraption was something only the very wealthy could afford to tinker with it.
Henry Ford, the creator of the Model T made the automobile available to the common man and a new era was born. Interesting to note was that the first prototypes of the modern automobile were steam powered, until the petrol based designed engines won over the mindset of the then prevailing scientific minds involved with the production of these engines. With the common man now buying an automobile, the law of supply and demand began to take effect, as there had to be places where to get fuel.
Apart from the creation of urban sprawl, the other draw back was now man had to seek places on the globe where there were mass quantities of this crude oil in order to run his machines. As with anything that man ventures with there were bound to be mishaps. OIl spills not only occurred on land, [making that parcel of earth toxic] but by the time that it began to be shipped, there were numerous occasions of tragedy at sea with sinkings and accidents creating highly toxic areas at sea.
The most two infamous incidents in recent memory were the Exxon-Valdez incidence in Alaska and the recent debacle in the Gulf of Mexico. Those events, coupled with world's wars 1 and 2 have contributed greatly to making the once infinite supply of the oceans waters a finite supply. Will civilized man change his ways to be at one with his surroundings?  We have met the Enemy and he is us, We all need to change the way we support those whose ways of doing business is detrimental to the planet earth and therefore ourselves. Sure some companies allege that they support the greening of the planet, or that they themselves are a green company, but that my friend is a smoke screen by some. Just because they say that they are  doesn't mean that they do what they say, so until the next time,  live well, be happy, make love, we bid you Peace.
