Trees, are one of the few species of life on land that has a longer lifespan than man. They are not sentient, stationary, and the only movement they have is to grow upward. [Vines excepted]. The mention of this serves a twofold purpose. One is to show the importance of trees to our existence and secondly, to highlight the intelligences at work in this volume.
The average lifespan of man is, give or take 70 years. There are of course the occasional aberration of people exceeding this number. there are a few known cases of people exceeding 100. Psalms 90 vs 10 says this."The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labor and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away". Note that a score is twenty. Just what does that have to do with trees?
Some trees live for up to 400 years in some parts of the wilderness and forests, and that number dwarfs just how long an individual life span of man is. In Genesis, before the flood the oldest man known was Me-thu'selah who lived to be 969 years old. Incredible? Lets look at what took place after the flood.
Shortly before the flood,GOD had said, in Genesis chap 6 vs 3,"And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years". The deluge that covered the earth and killed all land moving creatures with the exception of trees was caused by 'the sons of God' who came and took wives of all the beautiful women that they chose. Who were these 'sons of God'? Were they the children of Adam? Or were they beings from the other planets as we so ardently speculated in the series on the imagination?
Also in chapter 6 of Genesis, we are told that there were giants in those days, and in ancient lore they were called the 'Annakim'. So if what we were imagining was true, then it stands to reason that these 'sons of God' had to come from other planets to cohabit with our women. God shortened our lifespan because we were 'flesh' not made to travel between the planets or stars.
Man as the dominant force on this planet, outlives most species, and as such we tend to think of ourselves as having higher intelligence, than say a {for example} talking parrot, or any of the animal life found in the local zoo. With our limited lifespan, just how would we be viewed by beings from other worlds endued with an infinitely greater lifespan than ours? They most certainly would view us the same way we view the animals in the zoo, as animals with limited intelligence.
In the book of Jo'b, we are told in chapter 2 vs 1,"Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the Lord". The implication here is that 'Satan' is one of the 'sons of God', it was he and the others that he influenced to breakaway from God that were taking our women and having these offspring which in turn caused God to destroy their offspring to return this earth to man.
Let us keep in mind that in Revelation 12 vs 12 we were given this warning. "Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time". Imagine that for a being that has been living for an indefinite amount of time to be overthrown from the domain he was once given, and being told that his eternal lifespan was being revoked sometime in the near future, that creature had to have been upset.
That said, he engineered the cause of the flood. That failed because God had Noah and his three sons, along with the animals of God's choosing, to repopulate the earth. Next up came the failed attempt to build the spaceport of great Babylon. The city and tower was to be a landing zone for Lucifer and his fellow conspirators, but, God came down and created the language divide. This created confusion and thus the name Babel[confusion of tongues], which sounded like babbling.
Woe, in the book, also means destruction in particular cases. the First worlds war among the industrialized nations was his second attempt to cause the destruction of the planet, as was world war two. Having failed in his/their previous attempts to get rid of mankind and destroy the planet in one fell swoop, Lucifer and his cronies decided to try a different approach. Knowing that the lifespan of man was limited compared to theirs, they decided to come up with a different approach.
Why not give man the knowledge to create devices that can lead to his own destruction? The deception of Eve had already worked partially by bringing the sentence of death to mankind. Lucifer and his pals launched an all out attack against man in a myriad of ways. As per his threat to turn man away from God, they started the first known enclave of homosexuality known as the five cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, as you know the first tenet of sex was to reproduce, a fact that two members of the same species cannot do. Despite the burning of those cities Lucifer continued to push that perversion upon man until it's worldwide prevalence today.
Another one of their ploys was the introduction of technology, along with entertainment. Lucifer began to put into the minds of some that [a] there was no such thing as a Supreme Deity, and [b] he{Lucifer} should be worshipped. Those who fall to his philosophy are called agnostics or atheist. Then there are those who worship him openly. Those that do so however, while doing it in public, make secretive hand signals to their fellow cohorts, while pretending to the public that they are God fearing individuals while the truth is the exact opposite.
For the many that are involved in the leadership of commerce and it's inventions, and those who control the entertainment industries, when gathered together at their private meetings and assemblies, they then openly worship Lucifer as the god Baphomet. Romans Chapter 1 vs 25, " Who changed the truth of God into a lie," [Lucifer and friends with the big bang theory among a list of other things including Santa clause],"and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen". All of that led to the following:
Political intrigue, Business spying by various companies trying to keep ahead of the competition, distrust and a gradual decaying of morality and decency. In the 30th vs of the same chapter we read, "Backbiters, [I'm quite sure you know a few, those who speak well to your face and the minuite your back is turned say the most awful things about you], haters of God, [Avowed atheists and agnostics], despiteful, proud, boasters,inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents".
Note that many of today's gadgets and inventions come to us under the guise of saving time in whatever the endeavor one used to do minus that device. Just what and how will you save time? Where will you put that time saved? In a bank? God Himself made time to be a boundary for man along with day and night and the four seasons. Secondly most of these inventions usually end up doing great harm to our environment, such as plastics, and automobile emissions.
Most modern medicines today, have an incredibly high incidence of a litany of side effects. Have you ever asked yourself why the commercials for almost all the medicines advertised contain warnings? From risking high blood pressure to asthma attacks, with warnings not to take with other type medicines, just how much trust can you put into these modern marvels?
Along with the loss of purity of the planets oceans,we also have to face the fact, that sadly, we have lost the vast majority of the earths wooded areas which contributed to our having a plentiful supply of breathable air, That combined with the constant use of the fossil fueled automobile with it's harmful emissions, the so called greenhouse effect has taken place. Global warming has become a household term.
What many do not realize, is among the evil inventions, [apart from nuclear devices and other weapons of mass destruction including viral {viruses} warfare], machines have been set up in strategic places of the globe whose use has been instrumental in affecting the weather patterns everywhere. They have been in use to induce earthquakes, Tsunamis, tornadoes and inclement weather in different parts of the globe. The recent snowfall in Egypt was no coincidence.
Just how many of us realize that the vast areas of the desserts were once inhabited? It has been noted that in some, rainfall comes once a year, and some of the most exquisite plants come alive if only for a brief span of time, along with creatures that are not seen like the plants they disappear with.
If not for the promise of God to come to our rescue, the annihilation of man seems certain at the current rate of speed we are travelling. The extremely wealthy would like to leave the planet and embark on life anew in the stars, but alas they are but flesh and so their survival is not guaranteed. Like the proverbial frog in water under a low fire,the water has now come to extreme heat and our 'goose' [for want of a better word] is being cooked. Mankind has been hoodwinked by Lucifer and all that some of us can do is pray and wait for,deliverance from on high. Are we all doomed? Time will tell, and so until the next time, live well, be happy, make love, we bid you Peace.
